70 years of DS Dichtungstechnik GmbH

On 14.04.1953, master saddler Albert Steinhoff Senior founded his saddlery business, which has since become an internationally active company in the field of wastewater technology. In 2023, 70 years later, we can look back on the long development of a family business. 

As luck would have it, Albert Steinhoff Senior recognized the need for seals for sewer construction and started producing pipe seals in the basement of the family home and office building in Nottuln in 1961.

Initially with a manageable range consisting of roller rings.

In 1983, the first production hall was built in the Oststraße. Today, this expanded location is our external warehouse.

In 1987, Albert Steinhoff Junior joined the company and brought forward the idea of setting up our own extrusion facility in 1996 in order to manufacture our own profiles independently of rubber profile suppliers in 1997. The starting signal for today's production.

DS Dichtungstechnik GmbH has been in existence since 2001 and production and administration have been located on Lise-Meitner-Strasse since 2005.

What makes us particularly proud after all these years?

That we, as a family-run company, have never stopped bringing sealing technology up to the state-of-the-art with the fullest enthusiasm for 70 years - always together with our long-standing customers and partners.
